Silk II: Spinning Silk

Workshop participants will spin many forms of both bombyx mori and tussah silks: degummed cocoons; waste silk; tops; rovings; bricks; caps; noils; and blends. A lecture on sericulture and silk properties is included.
This workshop could be expanded to include 1-1/2 days of spinning, with the remaining half day focusing on yarns for knitting and knitting with silk (or silk blend) yarns.
