Tussah Fibers

Tussah is the name for silk produced from the wild or semi-domesticated silkworm; the color will vary depending on diet or strain of worm. Tussah blends more homogenously with other fibers than Bombyx mori when used in blends, absorbs dyes more readily, and is a bit coarser.

T1—Tussah top (or sliver)
T2—Bleached Tussah top (or sliver) - bleached to mimic the color of Bombyx mori.
T3—Carded Tussah noils (shorter pieces)
